Atomic Software is a Brooklyn-based software consultancy with a twelve-year track record of creating elegant technology for the publishing industry.
CLIENTS
Our clients include Random House, Scholastic, Harcourt, and Pearson. We recently built one of the best projects in book publishing, Random House Insight, which delivers search-inside book content to anyone on the Web. We're on to new things now, helping to invent and protect the future of books.
SERVICES
We engineer software systems for selling books, managing production, and connecting with readers. We manage technical projects to accomplish their publishing goals. And we consult with editorial, production, and executive teams to understand difficult software projects and get them back on the right track.
RESEARCH PROJECTS
From time to time, we've also worked through a few ideas of our own to explore new directions in network publishing: Atomic Shakespeare (2003) is a project to create a community-based reconstruction of Shakespeare's plays. Word (2004) is a combined search engine for the Qur'an, the Tanakh, the New Testament, and the Upanishads.
